You must delete the WhatsApp account first.
Here’s how to delete your WhatsApp account (as shown on page 3):
1. Open WhatsApp
2. Tap More Options (⋮) > Settings > Account > Delete My Account
3. Enter your phone number in full international format
4. Choose a reason for deleting
5. Tap DELETE MY ACCOUNT
📌 Note:
If later you decide not to continue using WhatsApp Business API, you can downgrade the number and restore it back to the regular WhatsApp app.
